Track: Track 7 - Community of Practice: Harvesting the Promise of Technology with Teacher Education
Presenters: Craig Cunningham
Nicollet
In this participatory session, the audience will brainstorm about the uses of multi-user virtual environments (MUVEs) for teacher education. The presenter will give a short demonstration of the most popular MUVE, Second Life, and will describe the primary affordances and features of the environment. Small groups will brainstorm uses of the environment for teacher education, and report to the larger audience. A collective wiki will be created that will summarize the discussion. All welcome, even if you have no experience with MUVEs!
